“Because of our routines we forget that life is an ongoing adventure.” -Maya Angelou

I am a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic and have been in private practice in Santa Cruz, CA since 1985. Since childhood I have had a passionate curiosity about the relationship between body and psyche. This quest for what nourishes our aliveness led me initially to the reading and writing of poetry and later to the study of Nutrition and Chiropractic health care.

I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition from the University of Buffalo in NY in 1976. Following that, I graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic-West and was licensed in 1985. Additionally I have trained in Applied Kinesiology, CranioSacral Therapy and Classical Homeopathy. Movement practices include Yoga, Pilates and Continuum and I continue to be nourished by poetry, process painting, improv, music and meditation.

There are so many paths to nourishing our wholeness. In my practice, I facilitate patients in their own unique exploration. I see patients with acute conditions, chronic pain and illness, as well as those committed to preventive care and optimizing health. Regardless of one's present state of well-being together we notice and support what nourishes the body and psyche, while unwinding limitations.

For nearly three decades I have been in private practice in Santa Cruz while at the same time I have had the privilege of shepherding three sons into adulthood. These parallel paths have cross-pollinated in profound ways I could never have imagined. In truth, my most influential teachers have been my family and my patients.
